A male in his twentieth was referred to our hospital for jaundice. Computed tomography(CT)showed dilation of the intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts and showed a lesion at the ampulla of Vater, which caused obstructive jaundice. We report the case of a sixty-six year-old man admitted at our hospital with a suspected malignant tumor of the ampulla of Vater. The patient underwent a Pylorus-preserving pancreatico-duodenectomy. We describe a case of adenomatous polyp of the colon that harbored small foci of signet ring cell carcinoma. The patient was a 64-year-old woman with end-stage renal disease and sepsis who underwent colonoscopy to evaluate the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis. We present a case of cutaneous apocrine carcinoma arising in the axilla of a 71-year-old man. Of 352 patients with colorectal carcinoma followed for a minimum of 5 years after surgery, 39 cases (11.1%; median age 60 years) had mucinous adenocarcinoma, and 4 (1.1%; median age 62 years) had signet-ring cell carcinoma. Signet-ring cell carcinoma of the urachus and bladder is a rare lesion. Its histological picture is unique and similar to linitis plastica of stomach. The tumor arises through metaplasia of the totipotent transitional epithelium lining the urachus. It is a highly malignant tumor with propensity for local invasion and distant metastasis, and carries a uniformly poor prognosis. Herein we report one such rare case of urachal carcinoma who is free of disease for 2 years after surgical treatment.

Twenty-four cases of signet-ring cell carcinoma of the breast are presented. These represented 4.5% of 535 cases of surgically treated breast cancer at Indiana University Medical Center. Signet-ring cell carcinoma is a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma with a high degree of malignancy, which rarely occurs in hilar bile duct. As far as I know, this is the third signet-ring cell carcinoma of hilar cholangiocarcinoma found so far. We used endoscopic ultrasound（EUS） and per-oral cholangioscopy（POCPS） to make a definite diagnosis.
