The occurrence and characteristics of intracellular immunoglobulin inclusions in non-Hodgkin's lymphomas are described. Lymphoma cells from three patients with immunoblastic sarcoma contained classic cytoplasmic, periodic acid-Schiff (PAS)-positive Russell bodies. TDP-43 is a nuclear RNA-binding protein implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and FTLD, where it becomes mislocalized to the cytoplasm and forms pathological aggregates. Using the pyroantimonate technique, the ultracytochemical distribution of calcium within B cells was studied in isolated rat pancreatic islets incubated during 5, 15 and 30 min with 8.3 mM glucose alone or together with 76 microgram glicazide. Hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF/SF) is a pleiotropic effector for cells expressing the Met tyrosine kinase receptor.
