The protective effect of AESe, 2-ASe, and Se-MEG during irradiation with a dose rate of 500 R/min was followed. The protective effect of 2-ASe is substantially lower during the dose rate of 20 R/min and even during an increased dose. AESe and Se-MEG are noneffective. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA)-mediated photodynamic therapy (PDT) on MGC-803 human gastric cancer cells in vitro.
