Yeast-like filamentous fungi, collected in Italy from 1985 to 2018, were submitted to molecular identification and antifungal susceptibility testings. The authors report the results of a six-month evaluation of otomycoses in the ENT Department of CHU and the Central Hospital of Yaoundé. PURPOSE: To describe a previously unreported case of polymicrobial mycotic keratitis caused by an association between Candida lusitaniae, C. parapsilosis, and Geotrichum candidum.
METHODS: A three-year-old child with an antecedent trauma with vegetable matter and a prolonged use of corticosteroid eyedrops developed fungal keratitis.
RESULTS: The isolates of the corneal scraping using Sabaraud dextrose agar grew C. lusitaniae, C. parapsilosis, and G. candidum. After topical 0.2% and systemic fluconazole treatment, the corneal lesion resolved with no recurrence.

AIM: To reveal the pattern of microorganisms in chronic infective diarrhea cases.
METHODS: We examined all patients suffering from chronic infective diarrhea over a six year period The patients were examined physically and at the same time laboratory tests,colon enema X-ray and colonoscopy, ileoscopy, upper GI endoscopy and small bowel X-ray were performed.

A survey of dermatomycoses was carried out amongst industrial workers in three different factories during the period 1987-1988. A total of 194 workers were screened, out of which 54 proved to be mycologically positive by microscopy and/or culture. Incidence was apparently highest amongst workers in a cement factory (Calcemco, 33.3%) followed by those in a wood factory (Seromwood, 30.8%) and a rubber factory (CREL, 26.2%). BACKGROUND: Four patients with chromoblastomycosis are presented. An additional 30 infected Indian patients are reviewed.
RESULTS: These 34 patients ranged in age from 12 to 80 years with a male to female ratio of 5.8 : 1. Onset before the age of 20 years was seen in 24% of cases which was comparatively high.
