A series of fifty consecutive patients admitted to the Alfred Hospital with a primary diagnosis of traumatic hyphaema is analysed with respect to causation, size of bleed at admission, treatment, complications and ultimate visual result. The need to examine carefully the eyes of all patients presenting with a history of motor vehible accident is stressed.

Alcohol use has contributed to large disease burdens, and alcohol-related problems are prevalent among patients in general hospitals and primary care settings. OBJECTIVE: The objective was to assess the prevalence, demographics and risk factors of somatoform disorders (SDs) in departments of internal medicine at 23 randomly selected general hospitals in Shenyang, China.
METHOD: A two-stage screening process was followed based on an expanded Chinese version of the 12-item General Health Questionnaire and the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV-TR Axis I Disorders . This retrospective study reviews the outcome of 2061 patients operated upon for symptomatic gallstones in two district general hospitals. BACK GROUND: Trophic feeding generally refers to providing small quantities of enteral feeding soon after birth. A study in Ethiopia highlighted substantial delays in starting therapeutic feeding (TF) for newborns. OBJECTIVES: To describe the epidemiological patterns and clinical characteristics of sports injuries treated at two hospitals in Douala.
METHODS: This was a cross-sectional study conducted at the Douala General Hospital and Douala Laquintinie Hospital, involving medical records of patients treated for sports injuries from January 2012 to April 2022.
