Metastatic deposit in the inguinal canal is an uncommon finding. Few tumors such as pancreatic cancer, rectal cancer, and ovarian cancer have been described previously with metastatic inguinal canal deposit. We present here a case of prostate cancer with an uncommon inguinal canal deposit that was detected on Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen PET/CT.

We present a case of a one month old female infant who presented with left inguinal swelling. She was prematurely born at 32 weeks of gestational age. PURPOSE: Although the cremasteric muscle is a prominent structure of the inguinal canal, specific details of its anatomy are seldom discussed in either anatomical or surgical texts. PURPOSE: Reoperation of the inguinal canal is difficult with few available lucid descriptions of the technique. We reviewed our experience with a unique surgical approach to the spermatic cord through the cremaster fascia in patients who had undergone previous operations for undescended testis or hernia and report its outcome.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 54 inguinal reoperations were performed in 45 boys with an undescended testis or indirect inguinal hernia using a unique surgical approach through the cremaster fascia.

The processus vaginalis is an evagination of parietal peritoneum which accompanies the round ligament through the inguinal ring into the inguinal canal. The portion of processus vaginalis within the inguinal canal in women is called 'the canal of Nuck'. When the processus vaginalis fails to close, it can result in a hernia or hydrocele, both in women and men. Female hydrocele of the canal of Nuck is uncommon. A literature search revealed that little has been published on this condition. We present a case of a hydrocele of the canal of Nuck in a 5-month-old female infant.

The peritoneum was examined for the existence of a vaginal ring and the round ligament of the uterus was dissected through the inguinal region in eleven embalmed adult female cats. In all cats, there was no evidence of a peritoneal evagination into the inguinal canal. There was no vaginal ring and no vaginal process. BACKGROUND: The canal of Nuck is a fold of peritoneum that invaginates into the inguinal canal and closes at or just before birth. If the canal of Nuck remains open in female infants, herniation of the uterus, adnexa and/or bowel loops may arise through the inguinal canal into the labia majora.
CASE REPORT: The present case is a 12-week-old female infant with complaints of left groin swelling and discomfort. Ultrasonographic examination revealed a left inguinal hernia containing both adnexa (ovaries and fallopian tubes), uterus and small bowel loops with fluid.
