Five hundred and seventy-five patients with various steroid-responsive dermatoses were studied for up to six weeks in eighty-eight separate general practices using a new topical corticosteroid. Temetex (diflucortolone valerate 0-1%). It was concluded that Temetex is both effective and well tolerated in a wide variety of conditions, especially eczema and psoriasis. It was also shown that a large-scale general practice trial can be carried out efficiently with a very high compliance rate.

Amicrobial pustulosis (AP) is a recently defined entity associated with connective tissue diseases. Few cases have appeared in the literature. We report a case of AP coexisting with a systemic lupus erythematosus-scleroderma overlap syndrome and marked photosensitivity. Hereditary mucoepithelial dysplasia (HMD) is an uncommon autosomal dominant disease affecting skin, mucosae, hair, eyes, and lungs. We conducted a retrospective at the department of dermatology of Charles Nicolle hospital of Tunis between January 1994 and December 2000 to determine the epidemiological, clinical profile and the evolution of erysipelas. Lymphedema is defined as an accumulation of protein-rich interstitial fluid due to failure of lymphatic drainage. Causes are divided into primary and secondary. Clinical changes of skin can occur. The major cutaneous complications are infections, dysimmune diseases and neoplasms; the most serious is angiosarcoma. The practioner should be watchful for prevention and screening of complications.

This retrospective study describes 68 alpacas with skin diseases investigated from 1997 through 2006 at Cornell University. During this time period, 40 of 715 (5.6%) alpacas presented to the university hospital had dermatological diseases. Only few data are available on skin disorders in pediatric organ transplant recipients. In order to describe the whole range of dermatological diseases in a population of pediatric organ transplant recipients, we studied a group of 217 consecutive organ transplant recipients (168 kidney, 29 heart, 19 liver, one lung) aged <18 years at transplantation followed at a single center. The prevalence of entry lesions in limbs was significantly higher in limbs with filarial lymphoedema (80.88%) than in normal limbs (42.86%, P = 0.000012). Between June 1988 and December 1990, 1018 cases of superficial mycoses were investigated.
