BACKGROUND: Breast carcinoma is the most common malignancy in women. Metastatic involvement of the stomach is not well known.
METHODS: Endoscopic features and treatment options were evaluated retrospectively for 51 patients with gastric metastases of breast carcinoma.
RESULTS: The presenting sites of metastases were skeleton (43%), stomach (27%), lung (8%), and liver (4%). BACKGROUND: Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) is one of the most frequently performed bariatric procedures worldwide. Remnant gastric cancer after RYGB is a rare complication. There were about seventeen cases reported in the world. The location of the tumor in these cases occurs mainly in the gastric antrum, followed by the body, then the pylorus and linitis plastica, and the last was fundus of the stomach. The aim of this study was to obtain pathologic diagnosis by aspiration punction (AP) by real time lineal echoendoscopy in different lesions suspected to be malignant. AP was performed in 6 cases with a Pentax-Hitachi FG 32UA lineal echoendoscopy. Four pancreatic neoplasms, one plastic linitis and one adenopathy of the celiac trunk were observed.
