Perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa) is a neoplasm chiefly composed of HMB-45-positive epithelioid cells with clear-to-granular cytoplasm and a perivascular distribution. We describe such a tumor involving the prostate and seminal vesicle in a 46-year-old man. The tumor had characteristic histologic features of PEComa. Immunohistochemically, the tumor cells were positive for HMB-45 but negative for epithelial markers, Melan-A, and S100 protein. The tumor behaved in a malignant fashion, and the patient died of the disease 4 years after diagnosis.

Tranexamic acid (TXA), a plasmin inhibitor, is an antifibrinolytic drug widely used to prevent and treat hemorrhage. A 19-year-old male Caucasian, without prior medical history, noticed a painless right testicular mass. Physical examination revealed neither gynecomastia nor abnormal skin pigmentation. Serum alpha-fetoprotein, β-HCG and testosterone levels were normal. Sonography depicted an intratesticular diffusely hyperechoic lesion with acoustic shadowing. The patient underwent right orchiectomy. Histology revealed a benign large cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumour. This tumour is rare and may be associated with genetic abnormalities.

Primary melanoma of the urinary bladder is rare. We report a case of a 58-year-old woman, who presented with a 4 month history of dysuria and hematuria. A biopsy indicated a diagnosis of invasive melanoma and a partial cystectomy was performed. The neoplasm had invaded the entire thickness of the bladder wall and the neoplastic cells were positive for Melan A and HMB-45. Four months later a urinary bladder measuring 13×7×5cm was sent for histopathology.
