Perineurioma is a mesenchymal neoplasm best known in soft-tissue pathology. A colonic perineurioma is a relatively recently described entity and sometimes encountered in specimens from the large intestine, especially distal colon. An endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS) is an uncommon uterine neoplasm, and its primary occurrence in the intestine as an extrauterine ESS (EESS) is exceedingly rare. We hereby report a primary EESS arising in the sigmoid colon with a review of the literature. INTRODUCTION: Extranodal lymphomas are commonly encountered in the gastrointestinal tract but lymphomas of colon and rectum are rare. Primary colorectal lymphoma is a rare neoplasm. We report the case of a fistula between a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the sigmoid colon and an ovarian teratoma. An emergent laparotomy for an acute abdomen in a 90-year-old woman was performed. A pelvic mass of 12 × 9 cm fistulized in the left colon was found with the presence of gas and free liquid within the abdomen. This is an extremely rare condition, and as far as we know, no cases of a fistula between a large B-cell colonic lymphoma and an ovarian teratoma are present in the literature.

The risk of anastomotic failure in the unprepared colon is generally high. Therefore, Hartmann's operation is frequently employed in emergencies. BACKGROUND: Perivascular epithelioid cell tumor of the gastrointestinal tract (GI PEComa) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm.
