OBJECTIVE: Recently, a two-dimensional Silastic Dacron stretching skin device has been developed for scalp reduction surgery. Attached subgaleally, this device stretches skin over time, while avoiding the visible volumetric distention that is typical of three-dimensional tissue expanders.
