We report a rare case of sling shot injury that presented with a gunshot-like wound with preseptal cellulitis, in a toddler. An 11-month-old Malay child presented with a gunshot-like wound over the forehead following sling shot injury. Following injury, tissue repair involves inflammation, granulation tissue formation and scar constitution. We studied the effects of superficial and deep endolaryngeal trauma of the subglottic airway in young and adult rabbits. In both age groups a soft stenosis was formed as long as the cartilaginous cricoid ring is not involved. The effect of HBO on the clinical course of open traumas of extremities was studied in 165 patients. The early inclusion of HBO in the complex therapy of such patients was found to give 2,4 times less incidence of wound infections.
