Intussusceptions are rare but well-known causes of the small bowel obstruction in adults and an underlying cause is present in the majority of cases. Lymphoma's involvement of the ileum is one of the rare causes of intussusception. CT is a sensitive examination that diagnoses intussusceptions and provides an excellent pre-operative evaluation including possible extension and dissemination especially in intestinal lymphomas. A 60-year-old woman visited our hospital complaining of fever up. She had undergone augmentation ileoplasty for tuberculous bladder atrophy 43 years age. Cystoscopy revealed a broadbased tumor on the ileal segment. Histopathological findings of the biopsy specimen demonstrated grade 3 transitional cell carcinoma. She was given 2 courses of chemotherapy (methotrexate, vincristine, adriamicin, cisplatin), but died of metastasis of carcinoma 4 months after diagnosis.

PURPOSE: Intussusception is a recognised but unusual presenting feature of Burkitt lymphoma. We sought to identify the clinical features associated with intussusception in this setting, and assess the outcome following protocol directed chemotherapy.

Cryosections of 28 primary and metastatic midgut carcinoid tumors from 12 patients with carcinoid syndrome were investigated immunohistochemically with antibodies that recognize human MHC class I (HLA-ABC) and class II (HLA-DR) antigens. Primary angiosarcoma of the aorta is a rare disease. The prognosis is poor, resulting of embolic complications and early metastatic disease, with a median survival of nine months. Diagnosis is difficult and often made post-mortem. We report the case of a 68-year-old woman referred for a thrombosis of the superior mesenteric artery, occurring a few weeks after resection of an angiosarcoma of the small intestine, disclosing a primary angiosarcoma of the aortic wall with metastatic disease.
