Bibliometric mapping of the 100 most-cited publications on optic nerve and optic pathway glioma: A cross-sectional bibliometric analysis.

BACKGROUND: Optic pathway gliomas (OPGs), including optic nerve gliomas, are uncommon tumors of the anterior visual pathway that arise mainly in young children, often with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). The literature is now substantial, but its structure is undescribed. We mapped the most-cited OPG publications to characterize citation patterns, contributors, collaboration, and thematic development. METHODS: Scopus was searched on April 30, 2025 using a title-abstract-keyword strategy combining 4 OPG-specific phrases, with no year or document-type restriction. Records were ranked by total c

Oral Stimulation Interventions in Neonatal Feeding and Swallowing: A Bibliometric Mapping of Research Trends : Neonatal Oral Stimulation: A Bibliometric Analysis.

Oral stimulation techniques are frequently used in neonatal intensive care units to contribute to the development of oral feeding in newborns. Despite their widespread use in clinical practice, the conceptualisation and definition of these interventions vary considerably across the literature and interdisciplinary perspectives. This study aims to comprehensively map the scientific literature on oral stimulation in the neonatal population through bibliometric and scientific mapping. The publications to be analysed were identified in January 2026 using the advanced search interface of the Web of

Bibliometrics of the current state of application of teletechnology in the rehabilitation of patients with heart and large blood vessel disease.

The first publication on the use of teletechnology in heart and large blood vessels dates back to 1961. Since then, the study of teletechnology in heart and large blood vessels has become popular, and the number of publications has drastically increased. Hence, it is imperative to establish a comprehensive research framework that enables researchers and other stakeholders to understand the use of remote technologies in heart and large blood vessels. To bridge this gap, bibliometrics was used, a novel approach to determine the most prolific countries, institutions, journals, authors, source top

Research Prospects for mTOR in Neuroinflammation: A Bibliometric Analysis.

INTRODUCTION: Neuroinflammation is a key pathological process in neurological disorders, from acute injuries to chronic diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease (AD), Parkinson's Disease (PD), and stroke. The mTOR pathway regulates neuroinflammation by influencing microglial activation, autophagy, and synaptic plasticity. To address the scarcity of systematic analyses in this growing field, our study employs bibliometric analysis to map the landscape, identify key themes and collaborations, and highlight therapeutic targets for future neurological research. METHODS: A Web of Science search retrie

Hypofractionated radiotherapy for prostate cancer: a bibliometric analysis.

This comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 1,428 publications from the WoSCC reveals the rapid expansion and maturation of research on hypofractionated radiotherapy (HFRT) for prostate cancer, characterized by an average annual growth rate of 13.28% since 2020. Led by prominent contributions from the United States, Italy, and the University of Toronto, the field has evolved from foundational radiobiological concepts and early conformal techniques toward current research hotspots focused on high-precision delivery, such as image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and stereotactic body radiation therap

Australian Podiatry Research in Paediatrics: A Bibliometric Analysis.

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to undertake a bibliographic analysis of foot and lower leg research relating to paediatric podiatry by Australian or affiliated Australian authors. METHODS: The Scopus database search was conducted to identify all foot and lower limb research articles involving an Australian cohort of participants, published by Australian authors, or those affiliated with Australian institutions, pertaining to paediatric podiatry, in English from 1970 to 2024. We used bibliometric analysis through an open-source tool based on the R language. We described citations, j

Research on RARs in neurodegenerative diseases: A bibliometric analysis.

BACKGROUND: In recent decades, thousands of research articles on neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) have been published. Retinoic acid and its analogues play crucial roles in biological processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis through their interaction with retinoic acid receptors (RARs). While the involvement of RARs in NDs has attracted increasing interest, a further understanding of the current state and future trajectories of RARs research within this field needs to be explored. This study aims to provide a systematic overview through bibliometric and visual analy

Femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) is a risk factor for future hip osteoarthritis and is prevalent in both athletic and non-athletic populations. This bibliometric review aimed to understand the history of FAIS and provide detailed information for future FAIS research. The Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Core Collection was used to search and obtain all studies between 2020 and 2025 using bibliometrix (ver. 3.0.4) and R package software. Between 2020 and 2025, 1,486 articles were published on FAIS. There was an overall 41.3% downward trend in published research during this period.

Phubbing Behaviour: A Bibliometric Analysis of Scientific Production.

Phubbing refers to the act of ignoring someone in a face-to-face conversation by paying more attention to a mobile phone. This practice, although common, has been identified as harmful and deserves to be considered a problem. As a result, it has captured the attention of the scientific community, with a significant increase in studies in recent years. However, there is a lack of bibliometric analyses examining existing research on this topic, which would be useful in guiding future studies. This article seeks to fill that gap by providing a detailed bibliometric analysis of phubbing. It analys

3D-Printed Foods for Dysphagia: A Bibliometric Review.

Dysphagia is a medical condition affecting millions globally. Traditional modified diets designed for individuals with dysphagia often focus primarily on improved swallowability, yet they typically fall short in terms of palatability, nutritional diversity, and visual appeal, leading to reduced food intake, malnutrition and reduced quality of life. Recent advancements in 3D-printing technology offer the potential to create texture-modified foods that not only facilitate swallowing but also preserve nutritional content and visual appeal. However, there is a noticeable gap in the comprehensive b
