INTRODUCTION: Sepsis remains a leading cause of global mortality. Despite established guidelines by the Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC), adherence to time compliance with the SSC bundle is often inconsistent. In New Brunswick hospitals, this compliance has not been studied. This study evaluates compliance with the SSC bundle in a regional community hospital in New Brunswick (NB), Canada, and its impact on clinical outcomes.

Carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater is an uncommon malignancy often treated at tertiary referral centers. Most published series are derived from these centers and show resectability rated of 80 to 90 percent, with overall 5 year survival rates of 25 to 60 per cent. Three hundred twenty-four carotid endarterectomies (CEAs) were performed on 303 patients over 5 years. Sixty per cent of the patients were symptomatic with completed stroke (36.4%), amaurosis fugax (35.4%) or transient ischemic attack (TIA) (50.5%). Some patients had multiple symptoms. We studied community acquired pulmonary infections in general hospital. Forty-seven outpatients (group I) and 107 inpatients (group II) were analyzed respectively.
