We present a 24-year-old man with a history of metastatic nasopharyngeal cancer. Despite receiving standard treatments, including surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, he has shown progression. Consequently, he has been referred to the nuclear medicine department for theranostic purposes. The 99m Tc-FAPI-46 whole-body scan showed tracer uptake in mediastinal large mass, both external lymph nodes and osseous metastases. A 67-year-old man was referred for initial staging of prostate adenocarcinoma (Gleason score 4+3, 7/12 cores positive). A 99m Tc-PSMA scintigraphy revealed localized uptake in the right prostate lobe (miTNM: T 2m N 0 M 0 , and PRIMARY score: 5) and increased uptake in a hypo-dense splenic lesion (PSMA-RADS-3C), which was subsequently confirmed as a hemangioma on further evaluations. This case underscores the potential for false-positive 99m Tc-PSMA uptake in splenic hemangiomas, highlighting the importance of considering this possibility in clinical practice.

To gain insights into the working mechanism of morphine, regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) patterns after morphine administration were assessed in dogs. This paper describes the synthesis of four new polyisocyanides (three diisocyanides and one triisocyanide). The complexation of 99mTc with these ligands is also studied through chromatography and revealed the formation of hexacoordinated 99mTc+1 complexes. Finally, biodistributions of these complexes in mice are given and compared. Heart captations are lower than the ones with [99mTc(MIBI)6]+ but remain constant and a satisfactory lungs clearance, probably due to the metabolization of the ligands, is observed.

Four females were admitted with hypertension. Other causes of hypertension were excluded on clinical grounds. Digital substraction angiography performed in 3 patients revealed no stenosis of the renal arteries. The 99mTc-Mag3 renogram showed diminished perfusion and excretion on the affected side. Whipple's disease is a systemic disease, mainly localized in the small intestine, that even today shows some difficulties about its etiopathogenesis and diagnosis. The surveys usually used in the diagnosis, among which the biopsy is an indispensable test, have some limits particularly in follow-up. The 99mTc-HM-PAO labelled granulocytes scintigraphy may be a useful alternative method in the evaluation of location and extension of the Whipple's disease. Eighteen patients with abdominal symptoms clinically resembling acute colonic diverticulitis were studied with 99mTc-labelled leucocytes on average 5 days after the onset of symptoms. The diagnosis of diverticular disease was confirmed in all cases by means of barium enema or sigmoidoscopy. The leucocyte scan was positive in 13 patients, nonspecific in four and unclear in one patient. The diagnostic possibilities in acute colonic diverticulitis are discussed.

In 50 renal transplant recipients, we performed radioisotope (RI) deconvolution analysis, as reported by O'Reilly, in 179 renograms from dynamic renal scanning with Tc-99m-DTPA and obtained MTT (mean transit time) and H0 (initial height) values. Systemic AL (amyloid light-chain) amyloidosis is a relatively rare disease. 99m Tc-DPD (3,3-diphosphono-1,2-pyrophosphate) bone scan is a highly sensitive diagnostic tool for cardiac amyloidosis of ATTR (transthyretin) type. In AL amyloidosis, there have been some previous reports of extracardiac DPD uptake in liver, kidney, and spleen, but not in stomach. In order to develop 99mTc-labeled complexes with bisphosphonate isocyanide as novel bone imaging agents, two bisphosphonate isocyanide derivatives (CNALN and CNPAM) were synthesized and radiolabeling was performed for preparing the corresponding [99mTc]Tc(I) complexes.
