This report presents 2 cases of atypical small concha-type microtia, which were reconstructed with full utilization of the remnant cartilage. To repair the deformity, we harvested the 8th and 9th costal cartilage to form the helix and anthelix structure. The remnant auricular cartilage mass was retained and utilized as the base block of the framework, onto which sculptured helical rim and anthelix were added. The early experiences using ultrasound-assisted liposuction in treating difficult fibrous cases, such as gynecomastia, have led to the evolution and improvement of ultrasound-assisted liposuction techniques. This prospective study examined 348 consecutive patients treated with ultrasound-assisted liposuction over two and a half years, from October of 1998 to July of 2001. We use a three-stage technique consisting of infiltration, ultrasound-assisted sculpturing, and suction-assisted liposuction. Twenty-eight patients treated with free tissue transfer for soft-tissue coverage of the weight-bearing portion of the foot were investigated over a minimum follow-up period of 12 months. Seven were treated with a sensory innervated flap transfer, and 21 had a noninnervated skin or muscle flap transfer. Pectus excavatum is one of the most common congenital deformities of the chest wall. The aim of the study was to analyse 621 artefacts (reliefs, sculptures, paintings) from Ancient Egypt in terms of anatomical defects of the chest. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the role of allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) as a cause of adverse reactions related to the use of ANs.

We report on a 5-year experience with 44 patients (1980-1985) with incus interposition using a modelled or sculptured incus, either autograft or homograft, to correct ossicular discontinuity when a functional malleus and stapes are present. After a period of 21 months, 75% of our patients achieved an air-bone gap closure between 1 and 10 dB. The postoperative hearing results of patients with trauma and middle ear atelectases were better than the hearing results of patients with cholesteatomas.
