The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of calving-related injuries of the vestibulum vaginae and the vagina on fertility measures in heifers. German Holstein heifers (n = 236) were checked for vestibulum vaginae and vaginal injuries. These were scored according to localization, depth and length. The healing process was assessed until day 42 post partum. Calving ease and the occurrence of metritis and endometritis were evaluated. Duplicated uterus associated with unilateral imperforate vagina and ipsilateral renal agenesis is a very rare anomaly. We report a case of a 10-month-old female infant presenting with pus discharge from vagina, and discussed the embryologic and clinical features relevant to this interesting disease complex with a review of the past literature. Echographic and CT examinations demonstrated a right-sided cystic pelvic mass. IVP revealed a left slight hydronephrosis and non-visualizing right kidney. No right ureteral orifice was found at cystoscopy. Under anesthesia the mass and pus was aspirated.

Müllerian cysts are usually small, ranging from 0.1 to 2 cm in diameter. Rarely, they may be enlarged and mistaken for other structures, such as a cystocele or urethral diverticulum. Glassy cell carcinoma is a rare neoplasm that occurs most frequently in the uterine cervix. We describe the first reported case of glassy cell carcinoma arising in the vagina. A 77-year-old Japanese woman was admitted to our hospital for atypical genital bleeding. Vaginal fibromyomas (leiomyomas and rhabdomyomas) are rare; approximately 300 cases have been reported in the literature. BACKGROUND: In women complaining of a wide vagina and decreased sexual satisfaction we performed colporrhaphy--including perineoplasty in most cases.
METHODS: Between November 2003 and October 2004, a total of 53 patients were selected for operation at the Urogynecology and Vaginal Surgery Unit, Las Condes Clinic, Chile.
