AIM: To study the role of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Ki-67, BCL-2, and endocrine cells (EC) of gastric mucosa producing somatostatin (SS), glucagon (GL), and pancreatic polypeptide (PP) in diseases associated with Helicobacter pylori.
