Clausena lenis Drake, a valuable medicinal plant in the Rutaceae family, faces threats from wildlife predation, overharvesting, and climate change. In the wild, C. lenis primarily propagates through seeds; however, their rapid loss of viability poses challenges for long-term storage and germplasm conservation. Plant tissue culture offers a practical solution for both its conservation and large-scale production. This study examines seed sterilization, callus induction, shoot multiplication, and root induction protocols for C. lenis. Seeds attained a 100% sterilization rate using 0.2% (w/v) HgCl

BACKGROUND: Schistosomiasis is caused by parasitic flatworms and the disease is endemic to most countries in sub-Saharan Africa including Ghana. The current therapeutic agent for managing this disease solely relies on praziquantel. The continual dependence on this single available drug could lead to possible drug resistance. This study seeks to evaluate the antischistosomal activity of the following Ghanaian medicinal plants: Khaya senegalensis, Vernonia amygdalina, Clausena anisata, and Bridelia ferruginea. Methodology. Two concentrations (100 μg/mL and 50 μg/mL) of each extract were tested i

To discover natural antioxidants from Clausena lansium (Lour.) Skeels for food applications, we established a 474-compound database and applied a multiscale workflow integrating ensemble machine learning, molecular docking, structural clustering, molecular dynamics simulations, and quantum chemical calculations. The ensemble models achieved ROC-AUC values of 0.85-0.99 across eight antioxidant assays. Multi-criteria screening yielded 47 candidates, and 30 structurally diverse candidates underwent molecular dynamics simulations. Quercetin 3-arabinoside was prioritized, exhibiting stable non-cova
