OBJECTIVE: To report on patients with mucinous eccrine adenocarcinoma of the eyelid.
DESIGN: Retrospective case series.
PARTICIPANTS: Biopsy specimens of 6 patients with eyelid neoplasm were obtained. The pathologic diagnoses were mucinous eccrine adenocarcinomas.
METHODS: The medical records, including demographic, clinical, histopathologic, and follow-up information, were reviewed.
RESULTS: Five patients underwent surgical removal of the lesion by means of Mohs micrographic surgery. Four of these patients were doing well; 1 of them, with positive margins of resection, had 2 recurrences.

We encountered a case of metastatic renal cell carcinoma in which the serum level of KL-6, a therapeutic marker, was exceptionally high and fluctuated with the progression of treatment. A 74-year-old man was diagnosed with right renal cystic cancer and multiple metastases in October 2022. The KL-6 level was 27490 U/mL. He started treatment with lenvatinib and pembrolizumab. AIM: To assess histochemical expression of KL-6 and its clinicopathological significance in carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater.
METHODS: Ampullary carcinoma tissues were collected from 38 patients who underwent pancreatoduodenectomy or local resection. Tissues were subjected to immunohistochemical analysis using KL-6 antibody.

The MUC 6 mucin cDNA was isolated from a human stomach cDNA library and has been shown to be expressed in a number of other tissues in the gastrointestinal tract, including the gallbladder, pancreas, and parts of the ileum and colon. Endocrine mucin-producing sweat gland carcinoma is a cutaneous adnexal tumor that is rarely reported in the literature. We identified only 29 previously reported cases. All these cases share some clinical morphologic and immunohistochemical features. PURPOSE: Mucinous neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract are characterized by a propensity for metastasis to the peritoneum, resulting in peritoneal mucinous carcinomatosis (PMC). A subset of these tumors, most often originating in the appendix, harbor mutations in the GNAS oncogene. While the natural history of GNAS-mutant PMC varies, patient outcomes are generally poor, as is response to cytotoxic chemotherapy. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of single-agent palbociclib, a cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)4/6 inhibitor, in patients with GNAS-mutant PMC.
