The goal of this review is to understand meningioma, one of the most frequent primary intracranial tumors, from an oncologic and neurosurgical point of view. The epidemiology, pathogenesis, cytogenetics, and molecular genetics are presented. The operative therapeutic possibilities, the recurrence rates in relation to the intracranial tumor localization, and the place of adjunctive therapies is discussed. Although the emphasis of this review is on developments in the past year, some historical references are provided.

UNLABELLED: Radiomics has revolutionized the world of medical imaging. The aim of this review is to guide oncologists in radiomics and its applications in diagnosis, prediction of response and damage, prediction of survival, and prognosis in lung cancer. In this review, we analyzed published literature on PubMed and MEDLINE with papers published in the last 10 years. We included papers in English language with information about radiomics features and diagnostic, predictive, and prognosis of radiomics in lung cancer. All citations were evaluated for relevant content and validation.

For cancer survivors, social parenthood buffers distress and improves quality of life. It is important that physicians dealing with treatment of malignancies are aware of this patient perspective. This review deals with risks of infertility with hematological malignancies and chemotherapy, modes of fertility preservation interventions, time and barriers to referral to specialists offering these interventions. This review aims to guide the hemato-oncologist to make an informed decision with the patient and the partner about fertility preservation at the right time.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Radiotherapy is the traditional treatment for oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) because of its ability to preserve anatomic form and function compared with other conventional curative options. Recently, transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) have emerged prominently for T1-T2 OPC. This review summarizes the recent literature pertaining to OPC outcomes following primary TORS/TLM versus primary radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy and addresses controversies surrounding indications for adjuvant treatment following TORS/TLM.

BACKGROUND: Burnout in health care professionals could have serious negative consequences on quality of patient care, professional satisfaction and personal life. Our aim was to investigate the burnout prevalence, work and lifestyle factors potentially affecting burnout amongst European oncologists ≤40 (YOs).
