This article explores the challenges experienced by nursing students with dyslexia and the strategie

In 2009-2010, four "personal development and stress management" workshops were attended by all the 2nd and 3rd year students at the nursing training institute of Sainte-Marguerite Hospital in Marseille. Beforehand, their stress levels were assessed using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scale which revealed that such a workshop would be useful. 80% of students were interested and 50% found it to be of real help. This work involves reflecting on the malaise among healthcare professionals and the ways of overcoming it.

The purpose of the study was to explore nursing students' perception of perioperative missed nursing care (PMNC) according to "role theory" and Benner's "novice to expert" theories.
DESIGN: The study used a qualitative design based

Difficulties with depression for 26.1% of the students and some level of clinical stress were reported in over half of the group. This study evaluates diverse psychological variables in 35 third-year nursing students. Personality is studied according to Eysenck's theories, by means of the E.P.Q. questionnaire; assertive behavior is studied by means of the Gambrill and Richey assertiveness questionnaire; and the hostility set is also measured by means of the Buss-Durkee questionnaire. Likewise, due to the results obtained, the authors point out the necessity to work on the theme of assertiveness in nursing students.

As diseases of genetic origin have increased their impact on society's health, nursing's role has also increased. Nurses may not be referring those needing it for genetic counselling or prenatal diagnosis and may be inadvertently giving patients erroneous information based on lack of knowledge. A questionnaire was used to examine the overall adequacy and specific knowledge in the more commonly encountered genetic disorders such as sickle cell disease, Rh disease and Down's syndrome. It also included interpretation of risk and basic knowledge. The sample consisted of 366 senior nursing students

BACKGROUND: The World Health Organization established "World No Tobacco Day" in 1987, and has been promoting antismoking measures worldwide since then, with annual themes.
