Extrauterine leiomyoma is a rare benign tumor, originating from smooth muscle cells, most often localized in the uterus. Extrauterine localization of leiomyoma is extremely rare. Leiomyomas are benign neoplasms arising from smooth muscle cells. We describe the case of a 17-year-old boy admitted with progressive severe obstructive voiding symptoms. Retrograde urethrography showed a bulbous urethral stricture which was resected with primary urethral anastomosis. Histopathological examination confirmed the very rare case of a leiomyoma of the urethra. In patients with urethral stricture, leiomyoma should be included in the diagnostic considerations.

Urethral caruncles are seen almost exclusively in women. When these lesions are diagnosed in a male patient, he is likely to undergo unnecessary radical treatment mistaking a urethral caruncle for a malignant urethral neoplasm. Hence, a proper histopathological diagnosis is mandatory before deciding the final treatment. We report a case of fleshy masses in the penile urethra of a young male patient. Simple excision was performed and the histopathology revealed a urethral caruncle of the angiomatous variety.

Primary urethral neoplasm is an uncommon diagnosis, and carcinomas arising from urethral caruncle are rare. Optimal treatment guidelines are not available because of the limited number of diagnosed cases. However, an aggressive treatment approach is needed to provide the best chance of cure.

BACKGROUND: Primary small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the urinary tract is a very rare cancer, accounting for fewer than 0.5% of urinary tract tumors. These are aggressive neoplasms with high rates of metastases. Urethral diverticula can be found in up to 6% of women.
CASE: A 31-year-old woman presented with a clear vaginal discharge and an anterior vaginal wall mass that was thought to be a recurrent cyst. After surgical dissection, she was noted to have a urethral diverticulum with a solid nodule at the base. Final pathology showed a high-grade small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma.

The incidence of a neoplasm within the female urethral diverticulum is rare. Clear cell adenocarcinoma, which is the most common neoplasm, arises from the metaplasia of surface transitional epithelium and the paraurethral ducts. These tumors are usually diagnosed at a late stage, which worsens their prognosis. The treatment of choice is surgery.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is playing an important role in the clinical evaluation of women presenting with urethral symptoms. CONTEXT: Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the urethra is an extremely rare tumour. Its histogenetic derivation remains controversial.
CASE REPORT: We report a new case of clear cell adenocarcinoma of the proximal urethra in a 56-year-old woman who presented with grossly hematuria. Urethral cystoscopy revealed a tumour protruding from the posterior urethral wall at the bladder neck. Treatment consisted of urethrocystectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection. Histologically, the neoplasm consisted of clear cell adenocarcinoma of the urethra.

We present a rare case of a 68-year-old female with urinary retention and a peri-urethral mass. The patient, with a history of thoracic aortic aneurysm, was referred to urology after a urethral mass was incidentally detected on CT imaging during aneurysm surveillance. OBJECTIVES: Case report of a 5 cm. male urethral leiomyoma (UL).
METHOD: UL is extremely rare entity, with only seven cases in the literature. Its etiology is still unknown. Leiomyoma may be present in several locations inside the urinary tract. When located in the urethra it usually produces obstructive symptoms, but also may have asymptomatic behavior. Definitive diagnosis requires histological confirmation. Intraurethral neoplasms must be included in the differential diagnosis.
RESULTS: Patient is free of lower urinary tract symptoms after complete excision of his urethral leiomyoma.
