Аннотация
Comprehensive geriatric assessment is an established intervention for older people living with frailty, involving multidimensional assessment and development of a personalized care plan to meet identified needs. The GOAL trial demonstrated that comprehensive geriatric assessment delivered through a single outpatient geriatrician appointment did not improve goal attainment for older people living with chronic kidney disease and frailty. Alternative models of comprehensive geriatric assessment and person-centered care require evaluation. Regardless, embracing person-centered care should be a goal set by all nephrology services.
