Pediatric Isolated Anterior Elbow Dislocation: A Case Report.
Аннотация
CASE: Anterior dislocation of the elbow is rare in children. This case involves a 9-year-old boy with an anterior dislocation of the right elbow. During surgery, the distal humerus was found to have buttonholed through the triceps and anconeus fascia. An open reduction was performed, and the avulsed periosteal sleeve was sutured back to the humeral origin. The elbow was stable with a mild flexion deformity at the last follow-up, 1 year after surgery.
CONCLUSION
This case highlights an uncommon elbow injury with an unusual mechanism, emphasising the need to consider anterior dislocation in similar cases and the potential surgical approach.
