Аннотация
This letter comments on the article "Percutaneous needle tenotomies: indications, procedures, efficacy and safety. A systematic review" by H. Bessaguet et al., published in Annals of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (June 2024). We highlight the omission of our study, "Percutaneous Lengthening with an Intramuscular Needle of the Gastrocsoleus Complex Improves Critical Ankle Kinematic Values in Resistant Pediatric Equinus: A Pilot Study," which was published in 2023. We consider that our study is highly relevant, as it presents a minimally invasive needle technique assessed through 3D gait analysis, offering precise, objective measures of treatment outcomes in pediatric equinus. Unlike traditional tenotomies, our technique avoids plantar flexor weakness and demonstrates the potential to delay more invasive surgeries. We recommend a review of the systematic review's search strategy to ensure inclusion of relevant literature and respectfully request consideration of our study for future references.
