Аннотация
The market for industrial lipases is growing due to their wide range of applications. To produce these recombinant enzymes to increase the productivity of the bioprocess, various cell factories, including yeast, have been selected. In the last two decades, the study and improvement of two nonconventional yeasts: K. phaffii and Y. lipolytica as cell factories for heterologous lipase production have increased. However, it is important to consider their differences when choosing between the two cell factories. This chapter compares the characteristics of these yeasts and explores options for enhancing the expression of heterologous lipases at both the molecular and bioprocess levels.
