Аннотация

Cyantraniliprole, a systemic insecticide that modulates ryanodine receptors, may impact mammalian physiological systems. Due to its ability to cross biological barriers, the offspring of exposed pregnant females could also be affected. This study evaluated the cardiovascular toxicity following the intrauterine and lactational exposure to cyantraniliprole in pubertal and adult male offspring of Wistar rats. Pregnant rats were treated with water (control), 1 mg/kg (CYA1), or 10 mg/kg (CYA10) of the insecticide by gavage from gestational day 5 until weaning. Biometric parameters in dams and offspring were analyzed to assess toxicity. On postnatal days 55 and 90, male offspring were evaluated for blood pressure, heart rate, and euthanized to evaluate the isolated aortic reactivity and oxidative parameters. No differences were observed between groups regarding maternal and offspring body weight gain during exposure and weight. Also, the arterial blood pressure, heart rate, body weight, and adipose tissue weight were similar between groups. Aortic responses and lipid peroxidation were similar between experimental groups. These results suggest that developmental exposure to cyantraniliprole at the doses tested does not induce detectable adverse cardiovascular functional outcomes in male rat offspring under the experimental conditions employed. These findings also, contribute to developmental risk assessment of ryanodine receptor-targeting insecticides.
