Аннотация
The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) nurses undertake critical duties after an earthquake. These tasks include emergency triage and treatment, prevention and management of infection, prevention of organ loss, psychological support to the injured, and close cooperation and support with other health care professionals. Although WOC nurses have received advanced training in wound management in the basic training and certified training programs they receive, wound management in earthquake conditions is not a part of their training. To prevent complications and improve patient outcomes, WOC nurses need to receive training on wound management under earthquake conditions and gain experience with simulations.
