The Subcutaneous Approach: Why I Prefer It to Lift the Brow.
Аннотация
Brow aging rarely presents as isolated descent; patients perceive a composite change in lateral hooding, brow-tail contour, and the brow-lid-temple transition. This article argues that the dissection plane is not interchangeable and that many clinically relevant changes are expressed at the cutaneous-subcutaneous level. Gliding-based, subcutaneous techniques use controlled release, redraping, and temporary multipoint fixation with a surgical net to restore brow contour and periorbital harmony. By expanding the boundaries of dissection when indicated, this approach can achieve comprehensive periorbital rejuvenation. Patient selection, vector planning, and structured postoperative management are emphasized.
