Аннотация
This study translated the Impairment Measure for Parental Food Allergy-associated Anxiety and Coping Tool (IMPAACT) into Chinese and evaluated its reliability and validity. With authorization from the original author, the forward-backward translation and cultural adaptation of the original IMPAACT was performed in accordance with Brislin's model. A total of 286 children with food allergy visiting the West China Second University Hospital, Sichuan University from February 2024 to January 2025 were enrolled using the IMPAACT to assess the scale's reliability and validity. After excluding 17 incomplete responses, the results showed that 269 cases were included for statistical analysis. The Pearson correlation coefficients between each item and the total score ranged from 0.61 to 0.88 (P<0.01). The item-level content validity index (I-CVI) ranged from 0.83 to 1.00, the scale-level content validity index/universal agreement (S-CVI/UA) was 0.74, and the average scale-level content validity index (S-CVI/Ave) was 0.96. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that Chinese version of IMPAACT could be classified into three dimensions: anxiety, cognition and behavior, with the accumulative variance contribution rate of 72.29%. The overall Cronbach's α coefficient for the scale was 0.97, and the split-half reliability was 0.90, respectively. In conclusion, the Chinese version of IMPAACT demonstrates good reliability and validity and can be used for the identification and assessment of anxiety levels in parents of children with food allergies.
