Аннотация

Control of canine torque is critical in extraction-associated orthodontic treatment. This case report describes a 20-year-old female diagnosed with dental Class I malocclusion, accompanied by a high-angle vertical skeletal pattern, lingually inclined maxillary canines, a biprotrusive facial profile, shallow overjet, and deep overbite. Treatment was performed using a multi-bracket fixed appliance. Four premolars were extracted. Crimpable gate springs, TMA archwires, and lingual powerarms were used for resolving cortical anchorage of the maxillary canines, while mini-implants were utilized for vertical control of the posterior teeth. Fine finishing adjustments were made using a multi-loop edgewise archwire. This treatment was effective in the establishment of a normal overbite and overjet, as well as improved facial profile aesthetics. The occlusal stability was confirmed at a 12-month follow-up.
