Аннотация
Healthcare delivery varies greatly across the Asian Australasian region because of the diversity present in the healthcare systems. High grade gliomas are a diverse group of lesions that can occur in different parts of the brain and can present in a widely varied fashion to the clinician. It is important that when evaluating such patients an effort is made to ensure that all aspects of the patient's condition is taken into account so that the best standards of care are delivered to the patient with the goal of best outcomes possible. The authors have categorised neurosurgical departments into four types based on availability of personnel, equipment and technology and infrastructure. We have also divided the high grade gliomas into three types based on location and degress of difficulty at surgery. Based on these we have submitted recommendations on imaging and other aspects of presurgical workup so help the neurosurgeon deliver the best possible outcome based on the deliverables available.
