Аннотация
INTRODUCTION: Prompt diagnosis and treatment of blood stream infections in an immunocompromised host can result in a decrease in mortality with appropriate antibiotic coverage. Signs, symptoms, physical examination, cultures and sensitivity findings must be evaluated and interpreted together to accurately diagnose and manage the problem.
