Аннотация
Abrasion of the pathologically changed corneal epithelium by photo-ablation--by means of an excimer laser--was performed in 183 patients; among them were 55 patients with chronic keratitis, 36 with recurrent keratitis, 69 with corneal ulcerations and 23 cases of unsuccessful conservative treatment after thermal or chemical burns. The efficacy of the treatment was defined in dependence on the attained improvement of the visual acuity and the time of epithelialization of the pathological change.
