Diagnosis of allergic fungal sinusitis (AFS) in patients who present with rhinosinusitis and polyposis is based upon certain clinical, histopathological and mycological histopathological criteria are the demonstration of fungal hyphae in allergic mucin and absence of tissue invasion in the excised polyps.
