Аннотация

This study presents a non-contact method for estimating pulse wave-like signals by analyzing temporal changes in retinal vessel diameter captured in near-infrared fundus videos. A compact imaging system was constructed using a commercially available camera and a NIR LED to acquire continuous fundus images without using mydriatic agents or causing discomfort to the subjects. The extracted signals showed periodic waveforms, which were compared with those obtained from fingertip photoplethysmography. While minor discrepancies in peak intervals were observed, the results suggest the potential of NIR fundus imaging for noninvasive physiological signal monitoring. Further studies with more participants and improved imaging precision are needed to establish statistical validity and broader applicability.
