Аннотация
Hypersensitivity reactions to antineoplastic agents may jeopardize treatment continuity. Brentuximab vedotin, an anti-CD30 antibody-drug conjugate, may elicit hypersensitivity reactions that require specific management strategies. Case: A 19-year-old male with refractory Hodgkin lymphoma developed significant hypersensitivity to brentuximab during prior cycles. A 12-step rapid desensitization protocol with standardized premedication and close monitoring was implemented. Two hypersensitivity-like events occurred during infusion and were controlled with supportive measures and temporary infusion rate adjustments. The protocol enabled delivery of the full planned dose and continuation of therapy. Conclusions: Rapid desensitization to brentuximab is a safe and feasible strategy to maintain treatment efficacy in hypersensitive patients when performed with standardized pharmacy preparation, premedication, and careful clinical surveillance.
