[Clinical and immunological evaluation of patients with inborn errors of immunity after hematopoietic cell transplantation].

Inborn errors of immunity (IEI) are genetic disorders that impair the development and/or function of the immune system. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) represents a key and potentially curative treatment option for selected patients with IEI. Nevertheless, HSCT is a complex procedure associated with clinical and immunological complications that may arise at different stages during post-transplant follow-up. This article summarizes the consensus recommendations developed by the Pediatric Immunology Work Group of the Sociedad Argentina de Pediatría, in collaboration with transplant specialists, regarding the essential principles for clinical and immunological evaluation of patients with IEI after HSCT. Key aspects of post-transplant care are addressed, including the identification and management of infectious and non infectious complications, monitoring of immune reconstitution, assessment of chimerism, and guidance for long-term clinical follow-up.
