This report describes treatment combining Ultrapulse CO(2) laser and Q-switched frequency-doubled neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd-YAG) laser for a number of congenital nevocellular naevi (CNN). Amelanotic malignant melanoma (AMM) is a subtype of cutaneous melanoma with little or no pigment upon visual inspection. The lack of pigmentation is the reason for late diagnosis of lesions and a poor prognosis. We report a case of a 55-year-old female with an AMM diagnosed by immunophenotyping. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of p16 in relation with the histopathologic features and the clinical course in patients with sinonasal melanoma. Thirty-seven sinonasal melanomas were immunostained for p16. Seventeen tumours were investigated for loss of the 9p21 region using interphase fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
