BACKGROUND: We aimed to present the morphometric analysis of adult Brachylaima sp. infect wild pigeons, Columba livia, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
METHODS: Brachylaima sp. specimens were collected from the intestinal tracts of 5 C. livia in Al Ain City, UAE, from 2023 to 2024. After extraction and preservation in 70% ethanol, 15 specimens were stained with acetocarmine, dehydrated, cleared, and permanently mounted for detailed microscopic analysis. Their morphology was systematically measured and compared to existing data for other Brachylaima species.

This study conducted a full life-cycle experiment, exposing zebrafish to 28 ng/L norgestrel (NGT) from embryo to adulthood over 140 days, with a primary focus on investigating physiological and transcriptomic changes. BACKGROUND: Male infertility affects 8%-15% of couples, with male factors implicated in about half of cases; many remain idiopathic despite improved diagnostics. This narrative review addresses this gap by examining chronic inflammation as an underappreciated driver of sperm dysfunction that forms a bidirectional, self-reinforcing cycle with oxidative stress (OS).
METHODS: We synthesized studies from 2015 to 2025 identified via PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, examining links between inflammation and OS, key immune pathways, and related risk factors through qualitative narrative synthesis.

Bilobed testis is a rare anomaly of testicular development. Although its etiology remains uncertain, this condition may represent a variant of polyorchidism. We herein describe the case of an 18-year-old patient who presented with a painless scrotal nodule located in the upper pole of the left testis. We report this case to highlight the rarity of this entity and to delineate relevant issues such as radiologic features, differential diagnosis, and possible clinical implications.
