METHODS: The cross-sectional, population-based, descriptive design study assessed a cohort of school students, aged 9 to 18 years from the Al Buraimi Governorate of Sultanate of Oman. They underwent comprehensive ocular examination, including auto-kerato-refractometry (ARK), retinoscopy, and corneal topography. Firth's penalized (bias-reduced) logistic regression was used to identify independent predictors of KC and keratoconus suspect (KCS) status.

INTRODUCTION: Interleukin (IL)-13 is a key mediator of type 2 inflammation and an important therapeutic target in atopic dermatitis (AD). Although IL-4/IL-13 and IL-13 inhibitors demonstrate favorable safety profiles, ocular adverse events are recognized complications. Conjunctivitis is most commonly reported, and cicatricial ectropion has been described with IL-4/IL-13 inhibition.
