PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to retrospectively review uveitis cases at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, since its inception in 1997 to 2001, including patients presenting at the Camperdown, Sydney, campus between 1989 and 1997 attending Westmead for further care. The objective of this study was to determine the reasons leading to an inappropriate simple hysterectomy in the presence of invasive cervical cancer. During 1997-2001, 62 cases of invasive cervical carcinoma that had been treated by simple hysterectomy were referred to the gynecology oncology service in Vali-e-Asr hospital, Tehran, Iran. OBJECTIVES: Behçet's syndrome (BS) is a rare multi-system inflammatory disorder. Clinical phenotypic variance across geographical regions is recognised but UK BS patients' variance by age groups and gender has not been studied. This study compares the clinical features of adult and juvenile onset Behçet's Syndrome (JBS) in a UK population.

OBJECTIVES: Age has a significant impact on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). However, data on very late-onset SLE (vlSLE) are scarce. We have compared the clinical and serological features of vlSLE patients with younger-onset patients.
METHODS: We assessed the clinical and laboratory data of all patients fulfilling SLE classification criteria evaluated at a university hospital from 1978 to 2023. Patients were divided into 4 groups according to age at diagnosis: juvenile SLE (jSLE <8 years); adult SLE (aSLE 18-49 years); late SLE (lSLE 50-59 years); vlSLE (≥60 years).
