Dibenzofurans are a relatively small but important group of natural products. To better identify, explore, and utilize these compounds, this paper summarizes their spectroscopic characteristics for the first time. A comprehensive analysis was conducted on a total of 208 natural dibenzofurans. The structures of 37 dibenzofurans may have been incorrectly interpreted, of which 30 were revised, with the remaining seven pending identification. Furthermore, the NMR chemical shifts of another 23 dibenzofurans were reassigned or completely assigned.

A cobalt-catalyzed site-selective C(sp3)-H bromination via radical relay is reported. The mild and practical protocol uses NBS as the brominating reagent with only 1 mol % CoBr2 as the catalyst and achieves excellent benzylic selectivity (>20:1) over aliphatic C-H bonds, overcoming limitations of conventional bromination methods. It also features a broad substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and scalability and enables late-stage bromination of complex bioactive natural products and pharmaceutical molecules.

Herein, we report that the aziridination of alkenes proceeds via visible-light-mediated energy-transfer-induced cleavage of N-sulfonyl sulfilimines, which serve as bench-stable nitrene precursors with a recoverable dibenzothiophene moiety. This strategy proves to be efficient, delivering good to excellent yields for mono- to tetrasubstituted unactivated alkenes and styrenes, with its applicability further extended to pharmaceuticals. Mechanistic studies support an energy-transfer pathway involving a free triplet nitrene intermediate.
