We have presented the case of a neonate with bilateral cystic renal dysplasia and normal pulmonary development, in whom technetium Tc 99m succimer scintigraphy demonstrated absence of normal renal cortical tubular tissue and correctly predicted that life-sustaining renal function would not occur. Herein, we introduce a novel method for tryptophan detection via a reduction reaction facilitated by its interaction with a copper(II) phthalocyanine (CuPc) electrocatalytic electrode. This method addresses challenges associated with the susceptibility of the oxidation response to interference from various species when measuring tryptophan in bodily fluids. A 38-year-old woman received a 68 Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT scan for the evaluation of systemic lupus erythematosus. Diffuse uptake in both kidney parenchyma indicated the presence of lupus nephritis. In addition, an incidental carotid body tumor with increased FAPI uptake was also observed. Our case described the imaging features of lupus nephritis coexistent with a carotid body tumor on FAPI PET/CT.

INTRODUCTION: Lutetium-177 (177Lu)-DOTATATE received FDA approval in 2018 to treat somatostatin receptor-positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Little data are available on response and outcomes for well-differentiated (WD) high-grade (HG) NETs treated with 177Lu-DOTATATE.
