PURPOSE: Numerous surgical methods, with varying rates of recurrence, have been applied for the treatment of pterygium. Adjuvant mitomycin C (MMC) application has shown promising results in the prevention of recurrence. Here we propose and describe modified bare sclera technique combined with the intraoperative application of MMC for pterygium excision.

Cutis laxa is a clinical entity found in a heterogeneous group of genetic and acquired disorders characterized by premature aging of the skin with normal wound healing. We report two siblings born of consanguineous parents who presented with growth retardation, delayed developmental milestones, and the classical phenotypic manifestations of type 2 recessive cutis laxa. They showed remarkable blue sclera, which to our knowledge has not been reported previously in cutis laxa.

We present an unusual case of a patient who acquired a pansinusitis and orbital cellulitis with necrotizing features, subsequently developing scleritis, keratitis, and anterior uveitis. To date, there are no reported cases of the simultaneous involvement of these ocular structures from a pansinusitis.
