The diagnosis of hysterical personality is frequently charged by a negative counter-transference, and relies partly on it. In most of cases, treatment is difficult and includes many zones of conflict, who endanger the relationship between patient and therapist. The aim of the association of two psychotherapists is to exploit the therapeutic possibilities created by the inducted triangular relationship, by using positively certain zones of conflict. It seems to us that this procedure has advantages for both patients and therapists.

OBJECTIVE: To map characteristics of bad news communication by nurses in pediatrics.
METHOD: Scoping review according to JBI and PRISMA-ScR recommendations. Searches were conducted between March and May 2024 in six databases, one virtual library, and seven thesis/dissertation repositories, without temporal or language restrictions. Two independent/blinded reviewers performed the selection, and a third resolved disagreements. Data collection used an instrument adapted from the Cochrane Data Collection form, with descriptive synthesis and analysis according to scientific literature.

All health professionals within a defined geographical area who had any knowledge of, or contact with, patients with Huntington's chorea or their relatives were contacted and interviewed. Genetic counselling was given no consideration at all by most of the professional workers. In no case did the neurologist making the diagnosis point out the implications for the patient's family to the appropriate general practitioners who, with one exception, remained in ignorance of the genetic risk. Serious opportunities for the prevention of Huntington's chorea are being neglected.

If the idea of a biopsychosocial model is not going to be merely a phrase, then every clinical diagnosis and therapeutic vision need to consider the familial issues. Taking the family issues into consideration has evident gains; it allows for a better understanding of the patient and allows for actions which reduce the risk of a relapse of illness. The fact that such issues are not part of the therapeutic armament, despite the effectiveness of psychoeducation, is bewildering: on one hand the families are not always invited to co-operate, on the other hand--they often give up this co-operation.

OBJECTIVE: Limitations on resident duty hours require formal education programs to be high-yield and impactful. Hospital medicine (HM) topics provide the foundation for inpatient pediatric knowledge pertinent to pediatric residents and medical students.
