BACKGROUND: Acanthamoeba scleritis is an uncommon but severe complication of acanthamoeba keratitis. We report the clinical and histopathologic features of a patient with acanthamoeba sclerokeratitis.
METHODS: Review of the patient's clinical records and histopathologic examination of the globe including light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.
RESULTS: Review of the clinical record of the patient revealed a past ocular history of penetrating keratoplasty for persistent acanthamoeba keratitis. Later in the course of treatment, the patient developed nodular necrotizing scleritis

Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) of the orbit is a very rare lesion that may be misdiagnosed as fibrous histiocytoma, hemangiopericytoma, or other orbital tumors. Five-year survival data were available in 78 cases originally classified as uveal melanomas in patients less than 20 years old. Forty-two were malignant melanomas arising from the choroid and/or ciliary body; 13 patients from this group died of metastatic disease. Factors that significantly correlated with fatality were a red, painful eye, extraocular extension at enucleation, basal tumor diameter greater than 10 mm, increased mitotic activity, and tumor necrosis. This is a unique case of a 75-year-old lady who presented to eye emergency department with blunt trauma to the right orbit three days after a fall. Seven eyes from seven children with congenital aniridia were studied histologically in order to assess the relationship between congenital and acquired abnormalities. METHODS: A 65-year-old woman developed a circumscribed mixed cell type melanoma of the ciliary body that was locally excised. After 6 years, secondary glaucoma evolved. INTRODUCTION: NHS Blood and Transplant Tissue and Eye Services (TES) is a human multi-tissue, tissue bank supplying tissue for transplant to surgeons throughout the UK. NHSBT has two Eye Banks. These are NHSBT Filton, based in Bristol and NHSBT David Lucas Eye Bank, which is based in Speke Liverpool.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to evaluate pars plana vitrectomy (ppv) with silicone oil tamponade in the management of patients with endogenous endophthalmitis.
METHODS: All patients treated with ppv and silicone oil for endogenous endophthalmitis at the University Eye Hospital Bonn between 2015 and 2022 were included.
