PURPOSE: To describe the outcomes of eyes that have undergone a second glaucoma drainage implant (GDI) surgery.
METHODS: A retrospective review of eyes that underwent a second GDI surgery from 2006 to 2013 was conducted. Primary outcome measures included intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction and success rates. Secondary outcome measures included glaucoma medication use, visual acuity, and number of reoperations. Success was defined as 6 ≤ IOP ≤ 21 with at least 20% IOP reduction, and no increase in the number of glaucoma medications from baseline at 3 months of follow-up or more.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the AcuFocus small aperture corneal inlay (KAMRA) for the correction of presbyopia using femto-LASIK.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: This is a prospective, non-randomised cohort study including 50 presbyopic patients with hyperopia, emmetropia or mild myopia. The intracorneal inlay was implanted in the non-dominant eye using a VisuMax femtosecond laser (Zeiss 500 kHz) to create a superior-hinged flap. The inlay was centred over the visual axis. PURPOSE: Changes to the anterior stroma and epithelium induced by a meniscus-shaped corneal inlay are presented. The hypothesis that local curvature is a driver of epithelial remodeling is tested.
METHODS: Records of 30 subjects enrolled in a prospective clinical investigation of the inlay, implanted in emmetropic presbyopic subjects, were analyzed. The change to the anterior corneal surface was measured using wavefront techniques. The epithelial thinning profile was measured using Fourier domain optical coherence tomography. UNLABELLED: We present the case of an 11-year-old boy who had bilateral implantation of intrastromal corneal ring segments for progressive keratoconus and poor vision. METHODS: A computerized database retrospectively identified all patients who received a Boston KPro from August 2005 to October 2007.
